The Home Place Christmas Gift Drive
Each year, on behalf of The Home Place, JSG asks friends,
neighbors and local businesses to help our senior citizens who live at this special place. The Home Place
provides a loving and safe home for seniors with no other place to turn. Contributions to
The Home Place help meet the needs of their special residents. Please consider making gift donations.
Your gifts can be dropped at the Gallery anytime Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm.
We will deliver the gifts the week of Christmas to The Home Place. Call the Gallery at
601.853.1880 with any questions, or email us at jacksonstgallery@gmail.com for a list of suggested gift items.
JACKSON
STREET GALLERY has become THE DESTINATION STOP for not only local
customers, but travelers coming to the area to visit and specifically
making a stop to view the works of over 80 artists. In June, 2008
SOUTHERN LIVING MAGAZINE did a feature story on the gallery in the LOOK WHAT
WE FOUND section and stated it was one of their favorite art shops in
the South. From this article phone
calls came from over 20 states and visitors are still coming in
from out of state that read the article.
Visitors
coming into the gallery love the atmosphere, beautiful music and
the signature smell of crème brûlée' candles
burning. This is usually their first comment as they walk into over
4200 square feet of open space, designed to showcase the art in the most
professional artistic manner. Attention to detail is obvious as
you browse through the gallery. The selection of
art ranges from paintings, glass pieces, pottery, jewelry and
copper. All prices and sizes are available.
This
gallery belongs to our community and the goal of the gallery has been
to promote this facility and showcase all the talented artists.
The gallery offers its space to civic groups,
business meetings, special events and private parties.
The gallery can be rented for special events - just call for rates and set
your date.
As
gallery owner I strive to give the artists the best exposure and
support as possible. This also includes a staff that is well trained,
professional and very much involved in everyday activities. When you are
in a position of loving your job and are very passionate about it, it is
always a joy to share it with others. I have always said, if these
walls could talk, there are so many stories that could be told.
The greatest joy I have is knowing the artists
individually. The paintings they share with all of us are a part
of their heart and soul. We are so fortunate to have so many talented
artists surround us.
Heartfelt
thanks go to all those that have supported this gallery and the efforts of
so many people are to be applauded. The support from artists,
customers and the encouragement of so many has been truly appreciated and
welcomed. The City of Ridgeland has played an important role in the
promotion of JACKSON STREET GALLERY through the Ridgeland Chamber of
Commerce, Ridgeland Tourism Department and wonderful publicity from so many
different media sources. Thanks go to so many.
Visit,
enjoy and appreciate the art and ambiance of JACKSON STREET
GALLERY. It will be a pleasant event, guaranteed to please all
your senses.
Thank
you again for all your support and encouragement and please visit soon.
